Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

1. Introduction

SALINT Technologies LLC (“SALINT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the SALINT corporate intelligence platform at salint.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with the Service, and your choices about the collection and use of your information.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect from registered users of the Service (“Customers”), visitors to our website, and individuals whose publicly available information appears in reports generated through the Service (“Data Subjects”).

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide

When you register for an account, we collect your name, business name, email address, intended use of the Service, and any other information you provide during registration, including the use-case certification required under our Terms of Service. When you purchase credits, our third-party payment processor collects your payment information. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

2b. Information Generated Through Use

We collect information about how you use the Service, including the reports you generate, the searches you conduct, the features you use, and your interaction patterns with the platform. We also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and access timestamps. We use query pattern data, among other signals, to monitor compliance with our Terms of Service, including the FCRA-related restrictions described in Sections 7 and 8 of the Terms.

2c. Information in Reports

Reports generated through the Service contain publicly available information about individuals and companies, compiled from public sources including business registries, professional networking platforms, news publications, regulatory filings, court records, corporate websites, social media platforms, and other publicly accessible sources. Reports may include information drawn from public court dockets, regulatory enforcement databases, corporate registries, professional directories, and similar public records. SALINT does not access non-public databases, sealed records, personal email accounts, private social media content, or any information that is not publicly available.

Reports are assembled for business intelligence and commercial engagement purposes as described in the Terms of Service. Reports do not constitute criminal background checks, employment verification, tenant screening reports, credit reports, or any other product regulated under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

3. How We Use Information

3a. Customer Information

We use the information you provide to create and manage your account; process credit purchases and payments; deliver and improve the Service; communicate with you about your account and the Service; verify your compliance with our Terms of Service, including FCRA-related restrictions; enforce our Terms of Service; investigate suspected misuse of the platform; and comply with legal obligations.

3b. Usage Data

We use usage data to maintain and improve the Service, analyze trends and usage patterns, develop new features, prevent fraud and abuse, monitor for potential FCRA-regulated use patterns, and ensure platform security.

3c. Report Data

Information compiled in reports is used to generate the reports requested by Customers. We may aggregate and anonymize report data for purposes of improving our data sources, algorithms, and overall report quality. Aggregated data cannot be used to identify any specific individual.

4. Sign-In Services and Google User Data

SALINT offers optional single sign-on through Google and Microsoft. You are never required to use these services. You may instead register and sign in with an email address and password. When you choose to sign in with Google or Microsoft, authentication takes place directly with that provider using the OAuth protocol, and we never see or store your Google or Microsoft account password.

This section describes how SALINT accesses, uses, stores, shares, and retains Google user data. The same practices apply to the account information we obtain when you sign in with Microsoft.

4a. Google User Data We Access

When you sign in with Google, we request only the basic sign-in scopes needed to identify you: your basic profile information and your email address. Through these scopes we receive your name, your email address, your Google account profile picture if one is set, and the unique Google account identifier (the OpenID “sub” value) that lets us recognize your account on return visits. We do not request, access, or receive any other Google user data. We do not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Photos, or any other Google service, and we do not request any restricted or sensitive OAuth scopes.

4b. How We Use Google User Data

We use the Google user data described above solely to provide and secure authentication and your account. Specifically, we use it to create your SALINT account or sign you in to an existing account, to populate your account profile with your name and email address, to display your profile picture within the application, to send you account and Service related communications at your email address, and to maintain the security and integrity of your account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles from it, and we do not use Google user data to generate the intelligence reports produced by the Service.

4c. How Google User Data Is Shared

We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the authentication and account services you request. Google user data is processed and stored on our behalf by Supabase, our authentication and database provider, which is bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations. We may also disclose this data where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SALINT, our users, or others, as described in the Information Sharing section of this Policy. SALINT’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4d. How Google User Data Is Stored and Protected

Google user data is stored within our authentication and database systems and is protected by the safeguards described in the Data Security section of this Policy, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls that limit employee access to personal information, multi-factor authentication options, and regular security assessments.

4e. Google User Data Retention and Deletion

We retain Google user data for as long as your account remains active. You can revoke SALINT’s access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To request deletion of your account and the associated Google user data, contact us at privacy@salint.ai. Upon a verified request, we will delete the Google user data associated with your account within 30 days, except for limited records we are required to retain to comply with legal obligations as described in the Data Retention section of this Policy.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances: with service providers who assist us in operating the Service (such as hosting providers, authentication providers, payment processors, and email delivery services), who are bound by contractual obligations to keep your information confidential; when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the rights, property, or safety of SALINT, our customers, or others; in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, with notice to affected users; and with your consent or at your direction.

6. Data Subject Rights

6a. Report Subjects

If your publicly available information appears in a report generated through the Service and you wish to request access to, correction of, or removal of that information, please contact us at privacy@salint.ai. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law. Upon receipt of a verified removal request, we will suppress the requesting individual’s information from future reports. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify Customers who received a report containing the requesting individual’s information, but we cannot guarantee deletion of report data that has already been downloaded or shared by Customers.

6b. Customer Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and the right to opt out of certain data uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@salint.ai.

6c. California Residents

The Service is not currently available to residents of California, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from California residents through the Service. If you are a California resident who believes your information has been collected or processed through the Service, please contact us at privacy@salint.ai and we will address your request in accordance with applicable California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

6d. Other State Privacy Laws

If you are a resident of a state with a consumer privacy law granting you specific data rights (including but not limited to Oregon, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Montana, or other states with operative privacy statutes), you may exercise those rights by contacting us at privacy@salint.ai. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.

7. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication options, regular security assessments, and access controls limiting employee access to personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account termination, we may retain your information for up to 12 months as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, enforcing our agreements, and complying with legal obligations.

Identifiable report data (reports containing personal information about individuals) is retained for a period of 24 months from the date of generation, after which it is either deleted or anonymized. Report data that has been aggregated and anonymized may be retained indefinitely for the purpose of improving the Service.

FCRA compliance records, including use-case certifications, query logs used for compliance monitoring, and investigation records related to suspected FCRA-regulated use, are retained for a minimum of five years from the date of the relevant account activity, consistent with regulatory record-keeping expectations.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze how the Service is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of the Service.

10. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Service.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Service may not be used to seek information about, locate, or target individuals under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, or that the Service has been used to generate a report on a minor, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

12. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on our website and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
